The course will last 3 weeks (May 13-31) and will be taught in 2 modules:

Module A: week 1 plus Monday through Wednesday of week 2

- Week 1 (5/13 - 5/17): Introduction to programming in Fortran 95/2003

- Week 2 (5/20 - 5/22): Advanced programming in Fortran and computer algorithms in animal breeding

Module B: Thursday and Friday of week 2 plus week 3

- Week 2 (5/23 - 5/24): Introduction to BLUPF90 family programs

- Week 3 (5/27 - 5/31): Genomic Selection

Instructors will include Ignacy Misztal, Daniela Lourenco, Matias Bermann, Jorge Hidalgo, Shogo Tsuruta (UGA)

Andres Legarra and Zulma Vitezica (France), and Ignacio Aguilar (Uruguay)

Please note that the course has prerequisites. In particular, Module A requires knowledge of programming in any programming language.
