پس از گذار به ارزیابی های تک مرحله ای در آوریل 2022، تکامل شاخص هایی که به طور معمول برای ارزیابی چند ژنی بین المللی چندگانه در سراسر کشور (MACE) ارسال می شد ضروری بود. از دسامبر 2023، شاخص‌های تک مرحله‌ای «بدون ژنومی» محاسبه‌شده از ارزیابی‌های تک مرحله‌ای به MACE ارسال شده است. آنها به شاخص‌های مورد استفاده برای انتخاب گاو نر در فرانسه نزدیک‌تر هستند و نسبت به شاخص‌های چند ژنی از پیش‌انتخاب ژنومی سوگیری کمتری دارند.

Within the International Year of Camelids, FAO Subregional Office for North Africa proposes to organize a series of 13 webinars dedicated to dromedary camels.

These webinars aim to strengthen capacities of member countries on camel biology, breeding, production systems, good breeding practices, management of diseases and to highlight the role of camels in food security and cultural heritage particularly in a context of increasing climate warming.

The dates and modalities are as follow:

• The webinars will take place sequentially starting from 22 August to 24 October 2024.
• The webinar session is 4 hours: from 01:00 to 05:00 pm (UTC+1).

The webinars will bring international experts, researchers, practitioners, government representatives, civil society organizations, and dromedary breeders. Each session will be moderated by a competent moderator in the relevant field.

The webinars target participants all professionals working in the development of dromedary camels.
